Shutdown a PC automatically after a Specific Time

 

Most of us love to sleep listening  music, we all certainly have a huge collection of music in our system/PC and when we Play the music/songs in our PC/laptop before we go to bed at night, all of a sudden we get Sleep while listening music the melodies will be playing entire night. Thus keeping the PC turned on till we wake up and shutdown the PC manually.

Initial Step:

Press Windows Key + R.

1.Press Windows Key + R.
2.Type Command Shutdown -s -t 3600

This will create a countdown timer which will automatically Shutdown the PC after 3600 seconds (1 Hour). You can replace the time limit 3600 sec to any time limit you want the PC to shutdown, but remember the time should always be expressed in seconds. For example if u want the PC to shutdown in Half an hour you have to change the time limit to 1800 sec. i.e 30 minutes. This Countdown Timer will Automatically Shutdown the PC after your desired/given time.

STOPPING THE TIMER:

You can any time stop the running timer using "a" operator (stands for abort).

Initial Step:

1.Press Windows Key + R.
2. Type Command Shutdown -a

 

This command will stop the running Countdown Timer in your PC. So suddenly  when you need to keep the PC Turned On, then just use this command and it  will skip the automatic Shutdown of your PC.
